TROMSØ

This project began with the idea of photographing Tromsø’s most well-known places under the Northern Lights. The original plan, and working title, was The Northern Lights, embracing the unpredictability of this natural phenomenon.

Once there, the weather changed everything. It snowed for more than a week, and the sky stayed completely white, making it almost impossible to see or photograph the aurora. Knowing this was a possibility, I had a second plan: to photograph the city of Tromsø and its surroundings.

With patience and long drives, the project took a different direction. Snowy fjords became the main subject, shaping the visual identity of the work. Despite the conditions, I managed to photograph the Northern Lights on one night.
