This project started through work. I traveled to Vienna for the studio’s Christmas party, held each year, but until then I hadn’t stayed long enough to see the city beyond the event.
I decided to remain after the gathering to get to know Vienna at a slower pace and to photograph it more freely. The focus was on the rhythm of the city, its architecture, and its urban landscapes.
A persistent Viennese fog shaped much of the work, softening the city and giving several images a quiet, distinctive atmosphere.
